At Brooktide, we are big advocates for the Greek college system and we have deep roots at the University of Maryland, which is why we are proud to be supporting Sigma Delta Tau and Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) at the University of Maryland during Greek Week 2014.
In addition, during this past year, Kyle Greaver, an undergraduate brother of FIJI, was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. FIJI and Alpha Omicron Pi have organized a fundraising event to assist with Kyle's treatment, other medical expenses and cancer research. The event, called "Miles for Kyle" will be a run from the University of Maryland to Johns Hopkins Hospital – a total of 32 miles. It takes place on Saturday, April 12th.
As of this publishing, $22,000 has already been raised for the event and Brooktide is happy to announce that between now and through April 12th, customers can enter the code MILES4KYLE at checkout to have 10% of their purchase of any items donated to this worthy cause. Start shopping here.
